Dark Souls may have ended with Dark Souls 3, but Bandai Namco is giving both series veterans and first timers the chance to play the first game in the trilogy with a fresh remaster. While it was assumed that FromSoftware would be handling the game’s development, it has been confirmed that Virtuos is working on the remaster.

Best known for remaking Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection, Batman: Return to Arkham, and L.A. Noire for the Nintendo Switch, Virtuos will handle the remake for release this year.

Dark Souls: Remastered is expected to be released on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on May 25th of this year
