Monster Hunter: World released last week and Capcom’s latest big title has had a huge debut. According to the publisher they have shipped 5 million copies of the game.

 

According to Capcom, this sets a new series record for most units shipped in the first 3 days. The publisher also stated that the series has reached a combined sales goal of 45 million units.

Since the first Monster Hunter title made its debut 14 years ago in 2004, the series has attracted a dedicated fan base, and overall grown into a mega-hit with cumulative sales of more than 45 million units worldwide as of January 28, 2018.

Monster Hunter: World is now available for Xbox One and PS4. The PC version will launch this Fall.
