The latest game based on Cartoon Network’s hit series Adventure Time is set to be released on PC, Xbox One, PS4, and Nintendo Switch in the Spring of 2018. However, it will differ from the franchise’s other releases, as it will be an open-world adventure game (seemly akin to The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker.)

Developed by Outright Games and published by Bandai Namco, Adventure Time: Pirates of the Enchiridion will allow players to step into the shoes of some of their favorite characters from the TV series and explore the Land of Ooo, which has been overrun by flooding, via pirate ship.

Finn and Jake will, naturally, be the game’s main protagonists, but players will also be able to recruit other characters to join their crew.

While actual details of the plot are not available at this time, it has been announced that Pirates of the Enchiridion will feature combat, an interrogation mechanic, and a progression system.

Outright Games is also currently holding a competition on their website, allowing fans to submit their ideas for the name of Finn and Jake’s ship.
