Players of Splatoon 2 got their first taste of Splatfest competitions in the World premiere demo. The demo pitted Team Ice Cream against Team Cake in a battle for dessert supremacy. This weekend, Nintendo will kick off the first Splatfest in the live version of Splatoon 2. As previously revealed over Twitter, it will be about the condiment of your choice. Ketchup or Mayo? This theme will apply for all regions of the game. Officially, the event starts on Friday, August 4 at 9 PM PT/Saturday, August 5 at 12 AM ET. The events are held regularly and fans are asked to pick a side on a topic and earn points for their team. The event is held on the same day around the world, the theme can vary by region. This was the case for the World premiere demo, fans in North America chose between cake and ice cream. Japanese fans chose between rock and pop music. Where can I get Splatoon 2?
