Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age has a lot of hidden bosses and the most entertaining of them all are the optional Espers. Here you’ll learn where to locate Zeromus, the Condemner and how to defeat it.

Location:

Zeromus is located at the Throne of Veiled Gods in the Stilshrine at Mt. Bur-Omisace. To get here players must obtain the Stone of the Condemner from the Acolyte at the base of the steps outside the Temple Grounds where you fought Judge Bergan.

Once inside the Way Stone located on the far side of the door you entered the Stilshrine, it’s guarded by 2 Reaper Mages. Once you touch the touch a prompt will appear to use the Stone and enter the Throne of Veiled Gods.

Strategy:

All Magicak commands are sealed this battle so make sure all your Gamits are set to item healing.Item spells are still allowed such as Motes. On top of this Zeromus has 8 Dark Lords alongside the battle and can cast Piercing Graviga which can kill allies easily. In addition, Zeromus will cast slow and stop on your party while casting Hastega on himself and Dark Lords throughout the battle.

8 Dark Lords will start alongside Zeromus in the beginning of the battle but can multiply to 30 if kept unchecked. Zeromus most deadly attack is Piercing Graviga which can kill allies easily. In addition, Zeromus will cast slow and stop on your party while casting Hastega on himself and Dark Lords throughout the battle. Once Zeromus drops to 50% health it’ll cast Great Barrier which reduces damage taken.

It’s best to take on this Esper once you gain access to X-Potions, Power Armlet, and the Bubble Belt. While Piercing Gravija can increase damage with the Bubble buff using the Bubble Belt will not increase damage. If possible use the Pheasant Netsuke which can be obtained in the Draklor Laboratory in the 70th floor in Room 7002 East and will double the effects of all restorative items.

Killing Zeromus quickly is the best strategy. Start off using all your Quickening abilities to greatly reduce its health. Once down maximize as much DPS as possible to reduce its health to 0. Since you’ll have to rely on items for healing, reviving, and in extreme cases casting spells killing Zeromus quickly is ideal. Attempting to draw out the battle will lead to vexing moments of attempting to limit Dark Lords, keeping the party alive, and Zeromus casting Piercing Graviga.
