Hope County, Montana is all sorts of screwed up. What was once a slice of tranquil American life is now being torn apart by a fanatical cult intent on converting the town’s populace by any means necessary — and we mean any means necessary.

It’s your job to save it, and you’re not going to be able to do it without help. Co-op is coming to Far Cry 5, revealed in a new trailer as part of Ubisoft’s E3 2017 press conference. Single-player devotees won’t be out of luck, however: There’s a kick-ass collection of NPCs ready to stick it to Hope County’s new occupiers. Be it the sniper-savvy Grace Armstrong and her loyal dog, Boomer, or Nick Rye and his well-armed airplane, players are going to have a bit of company as they take out this wild religious cult.

Far Cry 5 hits PS4, Xbox One and PC on February 27, 2018. Keep it here at Gamer Assault Weekly for all your updates on this upcoming journey into occult America.
