In the build up of some of the bigger company’s E3 conferences, some trailers get lost in the mix. One of those was Cyanide Studios’ Call of Cthulhu. You play as private investigator Edward Pierce as his sanity slips deeper into the void. From the trailer, it looks like a wonderful skip through H.P. Lovecraft’s twisted world, which most likely will be a survival horror game. However, you be the judge, take a look at the trailer below. According to the press release, Edward Pierce’s story looks to be an interesting one. “Sent to Darkwater Island to uncover the truth behind a mysterious death of a family, your original assignment spirals out of control against a backdrop of suspicious locals, mutilated whales, and disappearing bodies. Pierce’s mind will suffer – balancing a razor-thin line between sanity and madness, your senses will be disrupted until you question the reality of everything around you. Trust no one. Creeping shadows hide lurking figures… and all the while, the Great Dreamer prepares for his awakening.” Unfortunately, there was no release date given for this horrific RPG-investigation game. However, it will be released on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. Stay Tuned to Gamer Assault Weekly for more information as it is released.
