Developer DICE reveals that they will be adding female soldiers in Battlefield 1‘s In the Name of Tsar add on.

Similar to previous images released, the only difference on the new one is that a female soldier is shown. The woman on the art is said to have been part of the 1st Russian Women’s Battalion of Death.

Westie narrates in the video below about the history of Russian women and how they had joined and participated in World War I. It is unsure if the lineup of classes for the DLC will be all-female.

DICE was not too keen on the idea of female soldiers before the game’s launch. However, it is good to see them push through with it.

According to DICE the official reveal of this add-on will take place during E3, so everyone will just have to wait until then.

There has been no official release date announced.

A small girl from a small town who has been playing video games since she could remember. From the Super Mario Series on the NES, The Legend of Zelda, Counter Strike 1.0, Diablo I & II, Ragnarok Online, Gunbound, O2Jam, Suikoden, Harvest Moon, Final Fantasy, League of Legends and so many other games - Deci plays just about anything mostly on the PC and the PS3 nowadays. Her favorite genres would be RPGs, FPS, and MOBA. She used to dream of becoming a game character concept artist (she may never achieve this, but there's no harm in dreaming, right? lol). In the present she continues to play various video games, illustrating and making Gunpla models from time to time and even dressing up as some random character from Animes and video games. Gaming is both her frustration and sweet escape. Frustration because she knows she's a noob at most of the games she loves playing, and sweet escape because gaming has given some of the best days of her life.
