What’s cooler than cool? Apparently, footage of Yooka-Laylee‘s latest world to be revealed, Glitterglaze Glacier. Publisher Team17 and developer Playtonic Games unveiled new footage showcasing another one of Yooka-Laylee‘s five worlds. Yooka and Laylee will need to track down Pagies in this serene wintery world. There’s some slippery ice physics to overcome, snowy obstacles to plow down with a special transformation, and hidden areas to be found. Plus, as you’d expect, Capital B’s minions are running amok around Glitterglaze Glacier. Polygon also provided a 10-minute gameplay video exploring Glitterglaze Glacier. You can see some of the platforming puzzles and this level’s icy physics in action. There’s also footage of one of the game’s Donkey Kong Country-like mine cart sequences. Like other trailers for Yooka-Laylee, this gameplay video highlights the kind of gameplay that’ll give you flashbacks of the early 3D platforming and classic Rare titles like Banjo-Kazooie offer. If you’d like to see more of the game’s worlds, Playtonic Games has previously highlighted Capital Cashino, a casino world owned by the game’s villain Capital B. IGN showcased a 13 minute gameplay video, where they had the chance to explore this zany casino-themed area. Yooka-Laylee will release on April 11 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. A Nintendo Switch version will be replacing the cancelled Wii U version, but will release at an unannounced 2017 date.
