21 months after its Kickstarter campaign was fully funded, Playtonic Games announced that Yooka-Laylee has finally gone gold! Yooka-Laylee is now ready to publish and officially launch on April 11, 2017 without delay.

The announcement on the official blog also made sure to thank everyone who supported the game. “We couldn’t have reached this moment without the incredible support of our backers, fans, family and friends across the games industry. Thanks again for your unwavering enthusiasm for our studio,” they stated.

Yooka Laylee Goes Gold

For those that funded the game, Kickstarter backers will soon be able to prepare their final choice of platform before the game releases on April 11. For example, if you originally chose to get the game on Xbox One, you could choose to get the game on PS4, Switch, or an upgraded PC version with the Toybox Plus. This also explains the options for backers who ordered the cancelled Wii U version of the game. If you’d like more details, read up on the official Kickstarter.

Yooka-Laylee will launch on April 11 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. A Nintendo Switch version is in the works, but details have not been given. It may miss the April 11 launch date that the other versions will be releasing on.
