If you have ever wanted to get into the Mass Effect series but didn’t feel like spending any money, then look no further. BioWare has listed Mass Effect 2, the highest-rated entry of the series to date, for free! You can only get it on Origin, EA’s PC gaming outlet, because it’s part of their “On The House” sale.

This is going to allow those who want to get Mass Effect: Andromeda, which has been set to release March 21, a chance to get caught up or become familiar with the Mass Effect universe.

If you are a PC player and with even the slightest interest in the Mass Effect series, why not give it a shot? If you don’t like it, there’s no loss. If you’re on Xbox One then you’re also in luck because the Mass Effect trilogy has been added to its backwards-compatibility.

Do you guys think this is a good marketing ploy for Andromeda? Or do you think that it’s unlikely people will be willing to download Origin just to get one game? Let us know in the comments.
