The latest Warriors spinoff is another Nintendo franchise, and it’s Fire Emblem Warriors. This is following in the footsteps of the last Nintendo Warriors title, Hyrule Warriors. The trailer is a little vague compared to other trailers released during the Nintendo conference, but we can still glimmer a few snippets of information from it. The different swords shown off that make up the orbs in the shield are the swords from various Fire Emblem titles. Hyrule Warriors functioned as a crossover game between a wide variety of Legend of Zelda titles like Ocarina of Time, Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword. This game is probably following in its footsteps and we’ll see Fire Emblem characters spanning over the entire series of games appearing. We also see Chrom grab his signature sword at the end of the trailer, confirming him for sure (it almost makes up for his Smash “reveal”). There’s no other information on the title available just yet, but all odds are it’ll play like the other Warriors games and revolve around you selecting a hero from the Fire Emblem universe and waging huge battles, cutting down enemy soldiers in the hundreds and capturing bases. Hyrule Warriors had the unqiue gimmick of items and boss monsters, so it’s likely that this game will also have some unique gameplay features as well. Fire Emblem Warriors is set to release in the 2017 Holiday period. Catch all the Nintendo Switch news right here.
