Get ready, fighting game fans. Evo will be back in 2017 so mark your calendars for July 14-16 for a weekend of high-level competitive fighting gaming. The event will once again return to the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada, but, unlike Evo 2016, all three days will be played at the hotel as opposed to only Sunday’s top eights.

Event organizer Joey “Mr. Wizard” Cueller shared a trailer for Evo 2017 that shows off highlights of last year’s intense event, which was full of unlikely upsets and plays that made waves throughout the FGC, including Lee “Infiltration” Seon-Woo and Juan “Hungrybox” Debiedma taking home the titles of world champion in their respective games.

For those of you who are unaware, Evo is the world’s largest and longest-running fighting game tournament in the world. Many heavyweight players and the best of the best show up to compete. There’s also non-competitive friendly play for attendees to enjoy amongst each other.

This year’s games line-up has yet to be announced. Evo 2016’s line-up was announced in January, so in the next couple of months, we’ll likely find out what games will be showcased this year.

Last year’s Evo featured:

    • Street Fighter V
