If you were someone that bought Capcom’s latest Resident Evil HD re-releases, you were definitely not alone surrounded by zombies. Capcom has announced that the new versions of Resident Evil 4, 5, and 6 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One have hit a big milestone and collectively shipped 1.5 million copies worldwide. It is important to note here however, that this is the number of copies shipped, not actually sold through to consumers.

This was announced in a tweet (above), in which Capcom also excitedly thanked their fans for supporting the franchise. The series had a staggered release with Resident Evil 6 remaster came out in March, with RE5 launching in June, and the wonderful RE4 coming out in August to complete the new HD trilogy. The games are available physically and digitally in North America and sell for $20 each.
