Long time gamer and EDM producer, Steve Aoki, has now added professional team owner to his extensive list of accomplishments.

The DJ announced at Twitchcon that he is now an investor for Rogue, a new professional Esports team that formed in May 2016. He is supporting Rogue’s professional Counter Strike and Overwatch teams.

In a statement Aoki said,

As many of my fans know, I have been a gamer all my life and have been getting more and more nvolved n Esports. I can finally take my love for gaming to the next level as an owner of Rogue, the professional Esports team. As an avid player of Overwatch, their dominance caught my eye and after getting to know them, I realized that we shared the same goals and interests in team building and competition.

Rogue CEO, Frank Villareal added,

His genuine passion for the Esports scene was exactly what we were looking for.

The amount of investmhas remained undisclosed. Steve Aoki is just one of the growing number of celebrity investors in eSports.
