The anticipated upcoming  WWI first persona shooter, Battlefield 1, will be entering an open beta phase on August 31st for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

According to the official Battlefield Twitter account, players jumping into the open beta on their PS4 won’t need a PS Plus subscription. Unfortunately for those that are planning to try it on Xbox One will need to have Xbox Live Gold for multiplayer. The information was confirmed in response to questions from fans.

Dice “has not yet confirmed when the beta will finish.” So play while you can. Those who signed up for the free Battlefield Insider program will receive codes to start playing a day earlier. The codes were sent out today (Aug. 30th). You all should be playing now. The open beta, however, will not need any codes to play, fans will just be able to download and play.

The Battlefield 1 open beta will actually give players two different modes to choose from: Conquest (64 players) and Rush (24 players). It will feature the Sinai Desert map, which has dynamic weather changes, horses, an armored train, and planes.

Battlefield 1 will be on sale on October 21st for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. The game is already confirmed to have four expansions. Will you be playing the beta? Tell us in the comments below. Stay Tuned to Gamer Assault Weekly for all you gaming needs.
