For all fans that have been patiently awaiting Halo 5‘s Forge mode, well here is some good news. Microsoft and developer 343 Industries shared more information about the mode and it’s coming to PC. Yesterday, the companies detailed the Halo PC app that’s launching alongside of Forge. The main hub is pictured below.

343 Industries explained in a Halo Waypoint blog post that the new app will act as the central hub of literally everything related to Halo on your computer. So what does this mean? Well, it means that fans can download and launch the free PC version of Forge from the app, but it will also “contain a variety of tutorials and videos for Forge beginners.”

The app will also act as a discovery tool for Forge creations on PC. As such, players will be able to explore top community maps, game variants, and game videos directly all within the app.

Finally, the app will act as a way fans can launch their PC Halo games from. You’ll be able download Halo: Spartan Strike and Spartan Assault. Also, Halo Wars: Definitive Edition and Halo Wars 2, when they are released anyway. Most fans will take a notice though that the app does not include every Halo game playable on Windows, such as Halo 2 and Halo: Combat Evolved. The only games that will launch on the hub are 343 Industries’ developed titles.

The Halo app and Halo 5’s Forge launch on September 8th on Windows 10. What do you think about the Halo Hub? Tell us in the comment section below. Stay tuned to Gamer Assault Weekly for more information as it is released and for all your gaming needs.
