Team Liquid has traded Kenneth “koosta” Suen for Counter Logic Gaming’s Josh “jdm64” Marzano, the organizations announced Monday afternoon.

Koosta joined the competitive Counter-Strike: Global Offensive scene just over two years ago on Tempo Gaming. He quickly garnered attention from the community during his time on Enemy, when he became recognized as an exceedingly talented AWPer that helped the team place fist at the Americas Minor Championship 2016 – Columbus. He left Enemy to join Team Liquid in late February of this year, but the team struggled to perform to the best of their ability and found themselves placing 19th-24th at ELEAGUE Season 1 after a miserable week that left them with zero wins.

Counter Logic Gaming says that they are still looking for their fifth player. It was explained that the delay stems from the team refusing to rush the process, not wanting to pick someone that is a bad fit just for the sake of filling the spot. The organization revealed their roster for the ESL One Cologne Major being as follows:

  • James “Hazed” Cobb
  • Stephen “reltuC” Cutler
  • Tarik “tarik” Celik
  • Kenneth “koosta” Suen
  • Faruk “pita” Pita

The trade ends a year-long run between jdm64 and Counter Logic Gaming. A former Counter-Strike 1.6 and Source competitor, he made his transition to Global Offensive in 2013 with Slow Motion. During the following year he struggled to find a team that he meshed well with, moving between mouseSpaz and SapphireKelownaDotCom, but ended up joining CLG in June of 2015 where he found relative success in many major and premier events. The start of 2016 lead for a turn for the worst, however, and CLG has struggled to make it out of the lower rankings, placing 5th-6th at DreamHack Austin 2016 and 10th at the North American ESL Pro League Season 3.

“It’s an honor to have Josh play for our team and organization,” Team Liquid Co-CEO, Steve “LiQuiD112” Arhancet said, “He is hungry, motivated and talented, and wants to win above everything else. Failure is not an option. Time to move in the right direction.”

The current Team Liquid CS:GO roster will debut at the ECS Finals on June 24th-26th at the SSE Arena and is as follows:

  • Nick “nitr0” Cannella
  • Jonathan “EliGe” Jablonowski
  • Spencer “Hiko” Martin
  • Kenneth “koosta” Suen
  • Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev
