With the Xbox Store merging with the Windows Store later this summer, Xbox One will get access to the Torrex Pro app, allowing users access to torrenting through the Xbox One. There have been some questions raised regarding the usefulness of the app, mainly revolving around whether or not torrenting would be useful on an Xbox One due to users having limited access to the consoles hard drive. With this comes the usual headache of navigating copyright issues, which developers have been battling for years.

The update will occur when Microsoft releases the Anniversary Update for Windows 10. It would be hard to believe that Torrex Pro would be the only app making the jump, but the media player that is embedded in the app does give it the edge over others when considering inclusion in the Xbox One.
