The developers behind Bulletstorm and Gears of War: Judgment, People Can Fly, are developing a AAA shooter alongside a smaller indie project, studio boss Sebastian Wojceichowski has revealed.

“We’ve been working on it since the beginning of the year,” he said, speaking in an interview with Game Pressure. “Before that, we were polishing the concept.”

Wojcelchowski stated that, even though the project is beginning in the very early development stage, it already has a publisher lined up and “the mere fact of acquiring a publisher at such an early stage is a testament to our vast experience.”

People Can Fly will release more information on the AAA title next year, but didn’t provide a specific window for the announcement beyond that. Its indie game, however, seems more certain for a 2016 reveal, perhaps even a reveal at E3.

Last year in June 2015, People Can Fly became independent from Epic Games. As part of the deal it maintained ownership of the Bulletstorm IP, which it developed for EA as part of Epic Games.
