Echo Fox has acquired Ryan “fREAKAZOiD” Abadir, the organization announced Tuesday morning.

Known for his aggressive play as an entry fragger, fREAKZOiD began his Counter-Strike career back in 2012 under Team Dynamic. He bounced between a couple of lower-tier teams such as Frost Gaming and Homeless before finally joining Cloud9 in early 2015.

The departure of fREAKAZOiD from Cloud9 was a long time coming to many fans. After being fined an entire month’s salary and pushed into anti-bullying courses following a rather heated, and very public, squabble between himself and Team Liquid’s Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostylev, fREAKAZOiD found himself being removed from Cloud9’s starting lineup. He remained with the organization as a substitute and streamer, presumably until 2017, but it appears that he was able to end his contract with Cloud9 entirely.

Having been formed in January, Echo Fox has already seen multiple roster changes after struggling to perform well at events. Their most recent accomplishment is placing 9th-12th at the NA qualifier for the Americas Minor Championship 2016 – Cologne, where they were knocked out of the quarterfinals by Team Detonate. The team will be competing in ELEAGUE’s E group against FlipSid3 Tactics, mousesports and Natus Vincere.

The current Echo Fox lineup is as follows:

Ryan “fREAKAZOID” Abadir
Daniel “roca” Gustaferri
Ronnie “ryx” Bylicki
Sean “sgares” Gares
Shazeb “ShahZaM” Khan
