Developer Defiant Development has announced, via a short teaser trailer, that the card-based action RPG Hand of Fate will be getting a sequel around 2017.

Hand of Fate is an interestingly constructed game in which the player builds a deck of cards that are played against the game’s dungeon master. The dungeon master creates a path of cards that you can then encounter in real-time third-person battles.

These mechanics will be expanded upon with the addition of companions, which will be used to support the player, as well as have their own storylines. In addition to this, the enemy types and equipment bonuses will also be added to the second installment of the series, as well as further complex victory conditions for matches.
