Today Eidos Montreal has revealed that their upcoming action RPG Deus Ex: Mankind Divided has been delayed.

According to a post on the official Deus Ex Universe website studio head David Anfossi has revealed that the game has been delayed from it’s original February 2016 release date to the end of August. The new release date for the game as of now is August 23, 2016.

The reason for the delay is quality. According to the post Anfossi said, “Our aim is for [Deus Ex: Mankind Divied] to be a worthy successor to Human  Revolution and to improve upon that game in every way possible.” He continues,

“We are confident and proud of the game so far. However, as we are now playing through the game in full we can see that it will require more time in post-production for tuning, iterations, and refinement to meet our high standards. In order to achieve this, we need to move he release of the game to August 23rd 2016. We are sorry to disappoint you with this news, and also thank you all of your support and comments. This game is a huge part of our lives, and we don’t want to compromise on its quality.”

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided will be available on August 23, 2016 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. How do you feel about this delay? Let us know in the comments below.
