Sam “4Shot” Mariano has received a full year ban from ESEA on the grounds of cheating. The ex-Noble eSports player reportedly logged onto Chris “roa” Gretchen’s account in an attempt at revenge for having been cut from their lineup in the past, where he signed up for an unnamed, “Cheat site”, according to Rob “rob-wiz” Kennedy. 4shot also used roa’s admin privileges to knock players off of the ESEA roster in order to keep Noble eSports from being able to participate in future matches.

In a statement, ESEA reminded players that they have a 0 tolerance policy on cheating, “Whether it be on an alt-account or your main account,” and said that, “Due to the high level of difficulty in proving cases of this nature, this will not necessarily be standard procedure moving forward.”
