New details, including a brand spanking new trailer, have been revealed by Sony for Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection.

The trailer mixes all of the games together and dives into characters like Drake, Sully, Elena and Chloe. It also shoes off some trinkets and motives from all three of the games. Now fair warning, some of the content in the trailer could be spoiler-ish for those of you who are newcomers to the series.

Also revealed today are three brand new difficulties for the series:

  • Explorer Mode is an all-new mode for beginners where combat difficulty is reduced greatly.
  • Speed Run Mode adds a timer that allows players to track their gameplay time against their friends as they play sections of the game.
  • Brutal Difficulty Mode is the ultimate challenge as the gameplay will be more punishing than Crushing Difficulty (unlocked after beating Crushing Difficulty in the same game).

Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection is being developed by Bluepoint Games for the PlayStation 4 console. The collection will include 1080p/60fps gameplay on all three games and include numerous graphical upgrades to the games as well as a brand new Photo Mode. However, as previously announced, multiplayer and co-op from the original releases will not be included.

Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection releases on October 9 for the PS4 and will include access to the multiplayer beta for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.
