Electronic Arts released their Gamescom trailer for Need For Speed right before their briefing started. The new trailer delves a little deeper into the story portion of the game, including some of the characters will be seeing including Ken Block, Magnus Walker, Risky Devil street team, Nakai-san and Moroshi. The trailer also reveals Ken Blocks famous 845 horsepower AWD 1965 Hoonigan Ford Mustang. The five different characters revealed will present five different ways to play the game. Ken Block represents Gymkhana events and drifting. Magnus Walker represents pushing the limits of speed (who is also a huge Porsche enthusiast). The Risky Devil team is all about precise control and style as a team. Nakai-san represents fine-tuning and visual customization. Finally, Moroshi, a member of the Yakuza, represents the thrill of the chase and escaping police pursuits. An interesting thing to take note of is, once again, the presence of real life people where we’d normally see in-game cutscenes. The initial reveal at E3 was this way as well, but given how much we see in this trailer, it’s safe to say that we’ll be getting live action acting instead of in-game cutscenes… At least for the character dialogue portions. There’s plenty of car porn in the trailer as well including driving action as well as a preview of the customization. Need For Speed releases on November 3 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
