Konami has released a couple of videos for their upcoming title Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.

The first video released is a cinematic trailer that teases some story aspects and also teases the open world aspect of the game while showing some gameplay.

The second video released is a massive 30 minute long gameplay demo that dives into what you can do with your motherbase. The video dives into all of the different additions and upgrades you can make to your motherbase. It also goes into detail about some things you can do at the motherbase, like interact with your comrades, take a shower to wash away the stink off Big Boss, target practice and more. Finally, the video goes into Forward Operating Bases, which opens you up to a multiplayer aspect in the single player game. The FOBs can be attacked by another player and they can steal personnel, equipment and supplies. If this happens, you will get a notification and you can travel to that FOB to try and stop the opposing player. This multiplayer aspect will be completely separate from Metal Gear Online and is only a 1v1 mode. It’s also noteworthy that you can opt out of these FOBs and not partake in the multiplayer aspect.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain releases on September 1 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.
