The king of dinosaurs and fog is back! Or will be back, at least. Everyone can send their collective thanks to Night Dive Studios, who are no strangers to revamping and porting older games. They’ve worked on versions of System Shock 2, I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream and the collection of Tex Murphy games on Steam, just to name a few.

Originally released for the N64 in 1997, Turok: Dinosaur Hunter is being updated, improved and brought to PC via the Steam, GOG and Humble digital stores. Oh, and I should mention Night Dive is giving the sequel the same love and attention and their being released together. I’m not entirely sure the first game holds up, but gosh darn it made you feel cool gunning down those thunder lizards. Anyone excited to commit gun violence on hapless dinosaurs who I imagine just want to love will need to wait a bit as there’s still no official release date.
