Treyarch has announced that the upcoming update for the Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 beta on PlayStation 4 will include a new game mode, map and increased level cap.

The update, hitting August 21st at 10 am PT, introduces the new Stronghold map bringing the count up to four, Uplink game mode which debuted in Sledgehammer Games’ Advanced Warfare and increases the level cap from 28 to 34. The new level cap will allow beta participants to unlock the Reaper Specialist, VMP SMG and two scorestreaks: H.A.T.R and Power Core.

According to David Vonderhaar, senior design director, less than 10 percent of players had reached the current maximum level as of 10 pm PT August 20th.

The Black Ops 3 multiplayer beta finishes up for PlayStation 4 on August 23rd before moving to Xbox One and PC August 26th through August 30th. Unfortunately, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 owners will miss out on the first Call of Duty beta in years.
