Disgaea 5: Alliance of Revenge is an out-of-this-world strategy JRPG and was announced as a PlayStation Exclusive. It was announced yesterday that this wonderfully colorful, netherworld adventure would come to players October 6th 2015!

Now you can follow Killia and his gang of revenge artists (Seraphina, Usalia, Red Magnus, Christo, and Zeroken) against their nemesis Demon Emperor Void Dark and his Lost Army. Disgaea, this wild JRPG, for those who have never gotten the honor of playing,  is a turn-based strategy JRPG where players use a grid-based system to arrange the characters and perform special attacks, or team up to rain down a HUGE amount of damage upon the enemies.

According to the Sony Playstation Blog, you should look into getting the Launch Edition because October 6th will give you some goodies.

“The Launch Edition will be available at North American retailers, which includes the full game, reversible cover, 32-page art book, and original soundtrack — all packed neatly into a gorgeous collector’s box!”

With a proposed 45 hours of gameplay, Disgaea 5: Alliance of Revenge, will be a long continuation compared to its predecessors. Disgaea 5 also has a new game mechanic that fans of the series will enjoy (as well as the newcomers). The Revenge System, while watching your buddies take a beating by the baddies, it will gradually build up your characters’ “Revenge Gauge”, and when it bursts they’ll enter “Revenge Mode”. This mode dramatically enhances a character’s base stats, and allows them to use new abilities called Overloads.
