It’s business time

The Kickstarter for Yooka-Laylee continues to plow through stretch goals, with the game now having racked up close to 2.5 million dollars for the successor to Banjo-Kazooie. This crazy amount is roughly eight times more than the team of ex-Rare devs originally asked for. Well, for all that cash developer Playtonic Games have revealed just one of many of Yooka-Laylee’s supporting characters. Presenting Trowzer, a sssnake wearing sssome ssshorts ready to sssell sssome ssspecial movesss. Alright, enough of that silliness, here’s a bit about the slithery bloke from the Playtonic website:

“Trowzer is a business-snake whose career never took off. Not that he knows it – the smug, serpent salesman thinks he’s the bee’s knees (not that he has knees), and for a little dosh he’ll teach you some of the slick moves he picked up on the high-stakes sales floor.”

Trowzer: an Adder by species, an adder by trade.

All of the requisite items required for the conducting of business are present on Trowzer. He’s got a scruffy hat, a tie, a beat up pair of shorts that he’s slithered through and of course a cellular phone the likes of which many younger members of the audience have probably never seen. Phones like this did indeed exist, but at least it doesn’t have a carry along brief case.

There’s still over a month to go in the Kickstarter campaign for Yooka-Laylee and no doubt a few more goals will be hit and a few more details will be trickled to us.
