For various health reasons, Nintendo CEO Satoru Iwata didn’t attend E3 last year. Luckily this year he’s- wait, AGAIN!?

Yes, Satoru Iwata is skipping E3 again this year for other business purposes, and is leaving other representatives to take care of showcasing all that Nintendo has to offer this year.

“Nintendo’s focus for E3 this year will be showcasing the many games we have coming for both Wii U and Nintendo 3DS,” read a statement from IGN.
“Mr. Miyamoto and other members of our development team will be in Los Angeles to explain these games and the unique experiences that each offers. Mr. Iwata’s focus in this period will be on other areas of our business that require his presence in Japan.”

Nintendo’s presentation shouldn’t be affected much at their boss’ absence, so only time will tell how things roll out for Nintendo.
