To coincide and celebrate the move to a free-to-play model for The Elder Scrolls Online (developed by Zenimax Online Studio), the folks at Bethesda Softworks (very much the publisher and not Bethesda Game Studios, the developer of Skyrim and Fallout 3) have released an epic 23 minute CG cinematic telling the tale of “The Three Fates.”

The story is one of a fight fought on three fronts for the Ruby Throne and the Imperial City that surrounds it. The largest alliances in The Elder Scrolls Online’s Tamriel, the Daggerfall Covenant, the First Aldmeri Dominion and the Ebonheart Pact are all vying for the throne and are willing to fight tooth and nail to get it.

While the rebranded, free-to-play version ESO, The Elder Scroll Online: Tamriel Unlimited, will make the flip on PCs sometime in March, the release on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One is presently planned for early June.
