Despite the internet hubbub when Geoff Keighly tweeted a tease about his meeting with Bethesda PR, it turns out that it didn’t really tease much of anything. While the Game Awards 2014 will be a stage for many premiers and reveals, it turns out the hotly anticipated Fallout 4 will not be among them. On Wednesday marketing executive at Bethesda, Pete Hines, tweeted that while he might be in attendance at the Las Vegas show, he’s only there to show his support for MachineGames, developers of the fantastic Wolfenstein: The New Order. I’m getting asked a lot about this week and what we’re doing. Going to VGX to support MachineGames. That’s it. Not showing anything. — Pete Hines (@DCDeacon) December 3, 2014 Wolfenstein: The New Order is in the running for several awards like Best Shooter and Best Narrative. The internet thought it had something with Keighly’s tweet, especially since Bethesda let the Khajiit out of the bag about Skyrim at the Spike Video Game Awards in 2010. Be sure to tune in to the Game Awards 2014 on December 5 at 9 PM Eastern, 6 PM Pacific or 2 AM in the UK and keep it locked to Gamer Assault Weekly for all the coverage you need.
