The planets must have been aligned for Ubisoft this past Friday because they really cleaned up at the 2013/2014 Canadian Videogame Awards. The Ubisoft team nearly needed another table just for their trophies.

The Montreal studio and the newer branch opened in Toronto, largely responsible games like Far Cry 4 and Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, were acknowledged by the Canadian video game audience for their hard work. Even smaller titles like Child of Light got a whole lotta love.

The ceremony proper kicked off around 8:15ish p.m. and as the night progressed it was Ubisoft after Ubisoft as they were garnished with accolades hard and fast. Thankfully, a bunch of other incredibly deserving games managed to snag some awards too, like Hitman GO (One of my favourite mobile games ever. Of all time. Seriously, check it out), Guacamelee! and Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon.
