Square Enix has announced an interesting new game that’s taking the route of Telltale Games in their new “episodic adventure game” . The new title Life is Strange is in development by Dontnod Entertainment, the same studio that made Remember Me.  The game was announced in post on Square Enix’s Blog today.

The story is set in a fictional town called Arcadia Bay, Oregon and follows a high school senior named Max Caulfield who is returning to town after being away for five years. Once Max’s returns home she discovers that her classmate Rachel Amber has going missing “under mysterious and rather strange circumstances.” Max also discovers that she has the new shiny ability to rewind time, so she sets out with this new skill to find her missing friend.

Aside from every texture being hand drawn, little is known about the new intellectual property. Square Enix does plan release the game digitally with regular episodic content with choices that were made in the previous episode carrying over to the next. Life is Strange is planned to release on the PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
