Amidst the excitement of the announcement of the 3DS LL, Nintendo of Europe confirmed that over 300 jobs will be cut this month.   These 300 jobs cuts include the 130 that were reportedly cut in June of this year.

The added 170 jobs cut are believed to be with in Nintendo of Europe’s Localization Development department and are said to be attributed to “a set of measures to better enable the European business to adapt to the rapidly changing business environment.”

Nintendo says that it felt the need to release a number of agency workers who had been employed in translation and testing activities, looking to “Increase flexibility and cost-efficiency in the long term.”

Best of luck to all those affected by the jobs cuts.
