Update 8-21:

Looks like the “Free Play Day” promotion was posted as a mistake. Microsoft has issued a statement to GameSpot saying that it was nothing more than an error.

“A promotional tile for Max: Curse of the Brotherhood was posted briefly on the US dash in error yesterday. We apologize for any inconvenience. We’re constantly exploring different ways to offer more benefits to our Xbox Live Gold members and will keep them updated when special offers become available.”

Original Article:

Microsoft is planning on bringing Gold subscribers free demos of Xbox One games for a 24 hour period. This new program was only just described through an image on Reddit.

“Yes I am in the preview program. I already own the game so it doesn’t work for me. All it does for me is go to the store and I can select play from there because I already own it,” a Reddit user posted.

Microsoft has only just recently confirmed this as a new feature when questioned regarding details of the program. This would be an excellent tool for Microsoft Xbox Live subscribers to test out games extensively before purchasing. Not to mention this is an excellent tool of promotion and intensive for Microsoft’s campaign toward the Xbox One.
