There is more news on the story reported yesterday of massive  job cuts and layoffs coming to Microsoft. Microsoft CEO, Satya Nadella has confirmed that the company will reduce its workforce of 127,000 by 18,000. The Majority of the layoffs will be from the Nokia Devices and Services division with roughly about 12,500 employees being laid off. These layoffs will be the largest in the company’s history.

Later today your Senior Leadership Team member will share more on what to expect in your organization,” Nadella wrote in a message to employees. “Our workforce reductions are mainly driven by two outcomes: work simplification as well as Nokia Devices and Services integration synergies and strategic alignment.”

Microsoft is currently acting to remove 13,000 positions over the next six months at this time it is unclear how these layoffs will impact the Xbox division.  To the employees and the families that will be hit by this job cuts,  best hopes and wishes, good luck out there.
