Mighty No. 9, the upcoming game being created by Keiji Inafune’s studio Comcept, just saw the release of a new gameplay trailer. The trailer shows off various levels from the upcoming game and gives players a glimpse at how the game will play. Keep in mind this footage is from a WIP (Work In Progress).

Might No. 9 hit Kickstarter by storm and was extremely successful. It blew the $900,000 goal out of the water, drawing in close to $4 million dollars from donors. Probably in no small part due to the fact that the creator of Mega Man is leading the project, and the game itself doesn’t shy away from those roots.

The game puts you in the shoes of Beck, a robot in a series of 9. While the other 8 are infected with a computer virus, making them cause all sorts of havoc, it’s your job to stop them and “confront the final evil that threatens the planet.” Helping you is your good friend Call, who sort of acts as your handler throughout the game’s missions.

Inafune’s game is set to release in April 2015 for, well, just about everything (PS4, Xbox One, Wii U, PS3, Xbox 360, PS Vita, 3DS and PC).
