Originally hitting shelves this summer, Tango Gameworks and Shinji Mikami’s horror game The Evil Within has been pushed to release just before Halloween on October 31st for PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Xbox 360.

“Shinji Mikami and his team at Tango Gameworks have asked for additional time to further balance and refine the game in order to deliver the polished, terrifying pure survival horror experience they set out to create,” said publisher Bethesda in a statement about the delay.

To apologize to fans for the delay, Bethesda has released a new trailer featuring normal, every day people being terrified and unnerved while playing The Evil Within as quick snippets of the game pop up in between the players’ reactions.
