Just like last year, Nintendo will be forgoing a traditional E3 press conference in favor of a “Nintendo Digital Event.”

The presentation will take place on Tuesday, June 10 at 9 a.m. PDT. The digital event will still show off Nintendo’s upcoming games on various platforms.

“We demonstrated last year that we are never afraid to reinvent a proven tactic or to break completely new ground if we believe it will provide the best experience for our fans, followers, and partners,” said Reggie Fils-Aime, president of Nintendo of America.

Nintendo also announced a few other things taking place during this year’s E3:

  • Nintendo will have 16 players battling it out in Super Smash Bros. for the Wii U at the Nokia Theater with the event being live-streamed.
  • Nintendo will have the Nintendo Treehouse booth, which will have “in-depth demos” for their games.
  • Smash Fest: Nintendo and Best Buy have partnered up to allow gamers to play Super Smash Bros. for the Wii U at Best Buy stores. However, dates and specific locations have not been revealed yet.
