Wondering about the release of the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita versions of Minecraft? You aren’t alone. While Mojang didn’t exactly give gamers a release date, they did give a window of when we can expect the game.

Mojang expects these two versions of the game to be available sometime during Q2 or Q3 of this year, which would mean by September.

Just announced was that the PlayStation 3 version of Minecraft is releasing on May 16. Along with that announcement came the box art for the PS4 and Vita versions, so it’s not a huge shocker that Mojang has revealed more information on those versions.

On a related note, Mojang said that the Vita version of the game will play more like the console versions rather than the mobile versions. Also, that your saves from your PS3 version of Minecraft should be able to be transferred to your PS4 version.

Whether there will be some sort of cross-buy or upgrade option for PS3 owners looking to go to the PS4 version, there is no information regarding that at the moment, but news should come soon.
