Sony has released a new gameplay trailer for Borderlands 2 on the PS Vita, which also shed some light on the game’s release date. Gamers who opt for the Limited Edition bundle (game and Vita unit) will be able to get their hands on the pint-sized version of Pandora’s Wasteland on May 6, 2014, while those who just want the game will have to wait until May 13, 2014.

The bundle will retail for $199.99 and comes with a copy of Borderlands 2, an 8GB memory card, and the new lighter version of the PS Vita. This PS Vita model sports 1GB of internal memory, a new high-definition liquid crystal display, increased battery life, and an enhanced design for easier mobile gaming.

Borderlands 2 for the PS Vita will support cross-save functionality with the PS3, so those gamers that have already dumped a massive amount of time into this game can continue their quests on the go, and vice versa. This version of the game will also come with six add-on packs featuring the following DLC additions: Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate’s Booty, Mr. Torgue’s Campaign of Carnage, the Psycho and Mechromancer Character Classes, as well as the Ultimate Vault Hunter’s Upgrade Pack and the Collector’s Edition pack.

While you wait for the May release you can check out an all new gameplay trailer for the Vita version of Borderlands 2 after the break.

Borderlands 2 for the PS Vita is set to hit retail on May 6th for the bundle, and on May 13th for the game only.
