Some people are looking at their calendar and noticing that they have nothing planned with their significant other for Valentine’s Day. Well, there is always one tried and true activity that everyone can enjoy together on that special day, video games! It may not be the mainstream activity for Valentine’s Day, but it is the perfect type of activity that both you and your partner can enjoy together. Here are a few ideas for some great Valentine’s Day gaming with your co-op partner. Portal 2 Portal 2 is a great game in 2 way, it has a very robust and engaging single player and it has a great co-op multiplayer! Portal 2‘s co-op mode is the perfect thing to do on a Valentine’s Day once you are finished with the daily lovey dovey. It requires both players to work together to complete each level and it will definitely help improve the communication aspect of your relationship. Each level presents a new challenge and will require the two of you to put your heads together to figure out the correct solution. There is nothing better finding out how well you and your partner work together to figure out a tough level! New Super Mario Bros. U The New Super Mario Bros. U is a great game for you and your lover to jump into and run through some fun and quirky levels. It has that undeniable charm that only a Mario game can have and it has that familiar tone and level design that will bring you right back to your childhood. Unlike older Mario games, New Super Mario Bros. U allows more than 1 player to go through the level at a time, so that means both of you will be able to run through the level together. It may become a little difficult at points, but it is great to help your significant other navigate through those tough to traverse areas. Left 4 Dead series So far we have one puzzle game and one platformer, but if you are looking for something a little more action packed, Left 4 Dead might be right up your alley! Left 4 Dead is Valve’s co-op zombie survival shooter that pits 4 survivors against an endless world of zombies. You and your partner will get to live out all of those apocalypse scenarios that you have talked about for years, and there is nothing more romantic than jumping in front of that pouncing hunter in order to save your loved one. Left 4 Dead requires teamwork and coordination if you both want to get through the stages intact, so communication and cover is essential. But, if you are just looking for a leisurely stroll through zombieland, then change the difficulty to easy and have fun blowing zombie heads off together. Rock Band series Everyone listens to beautiful music on Valentine’s Day, but how many people play beautiful music on Valentine’s Day? With Rock Band, you and your partner can do just that. Whether you like singing, drumming, or strumming, Rock Band has the instrument to fit your needs. Your partner can sing to some old school rock while you play some power chords to complete that perfect melody for Valentine’s Day. No matter what your taste in music is, you will find something to enjoy on Rock Band. So, bust out the drums, pick up the mic, strap on the guitar, and play the night away! Little Big Planet series Aww, you guys are so cute and cuddly, just like the sock people in Little Big Planet! Little Big Planet is probably the most fun you will have jumping though levels this Valentine’s Day. Whether you are running through the game’s default levels or designing your own level that forces you and your significant other to work together to complete, Little Big Planet can provide hours of fun for both of you during the lulls in your Valentine’s Day weekend. You have to admit that you have always wanted to swing over a chasm with your lover clinging to you for safety; well, Little Big Planet is probably one of the safest ways to do this without putting either of you in harms way. So these are my top 5 games for a fun Valentine’s Day weekend. There are many more games out there that 2 people can enjoy together, so if you have any other games that you and co-op partner other like to play together, let us know in the comments!
