Japan has been a desired Assassin’s Creed setting for many years. The Assassin’s Creed style just screams for a Japanese setting. However, according to Jade Raymond,¬†Ubisoft’s managing director, the next installment of the series will not take place there.

Jade recently did an interview with Adweek and stated that the next installment was taking place in her favorite historical era, but quickly dismissed Japan as the setting.

In the Assassin’s Creed series we’ve visited the Crusades,¬†Renaissance Italy, the American Revolution, and we’ve flown the Jolly Roger in the Caribbean. What historical setting are you dying to see make its way into the series? Let us know in the comments below.
