A new advertisement which surfaced on the gaming forum NeoGAF, says that Microsoft stores will be giving out $100 of in store credit towards the purchase of an Xbox One when you bring in your PlayStation 3.

The promotion says it is running from January 23rd until February 28th at official Microsoft stores only. Terms and conditions apply to the promotion as well, the PS3 must be “without broken or missing components, cracked display or housing, or liquid damage” and include all of the original accessories it came with. Additionally, the store credit received must go to the immediate purchase of an Xbox One. The ad says, “to receive maximum trade-in value, you must purchase an Xbox One at the same time, any appraised value will be determined at trade-in and provided as store credit”

The validity of the promotion is still in question. Since the promotion claims to have started on January 23, no news about it had been released until today. Additionally, the promotion is not apparent on Microsoft’s website. Microsoft has been contacted for further statements and information on this promotion. We will keep you updated.
