Microsoft’s next generation console, the Xbox One, has received a bit of a performance boost prior to entering full production according to company’s vice president of marketing and strategy Yusuf Mehdi. The system will now run at 1.75 GHz, an improvement over its original clocked speed at 1.6 GHz.

“We’re on track for launch in November. We’ll announce a launch date shortly. We recently just went into full production, so we’re now producing en masse Xbox One consoles,” Mehdi revealed during the Citi Global Technology Conference.“We’ve had real good progress on the system. In fact, we just updated the CPU performance to 1.75 GHz on top of the graphics performance improvement, so the system is really going to shine [and] the games look pretty incredible.”

Any sort of performance enhancement is a good thing, now it’s just time to wait for Microsoft to announce the console’s release date.
