When CEO of Gearbox Randy Pitchford said that he wanted to see Borderlands 2 make it’s way to the Playstation Vita, he never thought that dream would actually come true, but to his surprise, Sony made it happen with the help of Iron Galaxy.

Iron Galaxy, the team behind the PS Vita fighting game Divekick, will be bringing Borderlands 2 to life on the PS Vita with Sony Computer Entertainment as the publisher. The deal was completely facilitated by Sony, and this could be a sign of things to come, as the company is taking the steps to bring beloved IPs to as many Sony consoles as possible.

Gio Corsi, Sony’s Director of Third Party Productions had this to say about Sony’s new initiative, “The Third Party Relations team at PlayStation is well-known for developing solid relationships across this industry, and this new group will work closely with our publishing partners to bring their beloved IPs to new places… We already have a project underway, the recently announced PS Vita version of Borderlands 2.”

Corsi also wants to hear from you, the fans, about what you would like to see from Sony and which consoles you would like to see it on.

“I will share more with you as our adventures continue and new games are made available. In the meantime, let me know in the [PS Blog] comments what you want to see on PlayStation (PS3, PS4, PS Vita). Or contact me on Twitter through the ingenious and mesmerizing handle of @giocorsi…”

So, if there is anything would would like to see Sony bring to their consoles, let Gio know on his Twitter account. You never know, your suggestion might find it’s way onto your favorite console!
