The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Gets a Cinematic “Killing Monsters” Trailer Matt H August 14, 2013 Consoles, PC, PS4, Xbox One Geralt does what he does best in the latest cinematic trailer for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, which is dubiously titled “Killing Monsters.” The trailer doesn’t feature gameplay, rather it shows off the amazingly detailed CGI cinematics of CD Projekt RED’s latest action RPG. The visuals are stunning to say the least, and while they don’t reflect in-game footage, they do provide a stark sense of realism for this gritty tale of moral ambiguity. The setting for the mini-movie is No Man’s Land, which is one of The Witcher 3’s vast open expanses that will be explorable in the game. Adam Badowski, Head of CD Projekt RED, summarized the trailer and its locale in the following statement: “Killing Monsters was a great opportunity to show the ambience of No Man’s Land – one of the vast areas in the game that the players will visit during their adventure. The overwhelming feeling of despair can be quite shocking, especially when you consider who the real monster is.” If you like what Badowski is saying then you should head on down past the break to check out “Killing Monsters.” There’s a good chance that the monsters aren’t the ones you’re thinking of. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is set to release in 2014 for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
